What I've Been Up to
Teaching AI some manners
For the past two years, I've been putting generative AI to work on documentation. I built prompts that turn Azure DevOps work items into release notes and cut repetitive work by 30%. That work earned a 2025 Gen AI Innovation Challenge Award. The AI drafts; I still get the final say.
Writing the rulebook for AI content
When AI can draft a hundred help topics before lunch, someone has to make sure they're right. I am part of the team planning an AI content governance framework built on one simple rule: no source, no content. It includes shared prompt standards, a controlled vocabulary, and a scorecard for every generated topic.

Settling the "Facility vs. Location vs. Site" debate
Three products, three words, one confused customer. I build terminology systems so every product speaks the same language. It's less glamorous than it sounds, but users notice the difference.
Making content work for everyone
I've been implementing WCAG accessibility standards in UI content and coaching my fellow writers to apply them too. Good content should work for every reader, not just most of them.
Asking why "fully automated" keeps backfiring
I'm writing an article on what Tesla, GM, and Toyota learned about full automation, and what it means for AI content. Spoiler: humans are underrated.

Lately, I’ve been combining technical writing with UX thinking, agile practices, and a bit of generative AI magic. At symplr, I’ve worked side by side with designers and product teams to deliver clear, accessible UI content for new SaaS features—and led efforts to standardize and scale our content review process. I’ve also been diving into AI, building smart prompts and tools that automate release notes and create bite-sized help content that’s actually helpful.
Before that, I supported large-scale digital transformations, modernized API and developer docs, and built knowledge ecosystems from the ground up. Whether I’m embedded in a scrum team, mentoring other writers, or using analytics to fine-tune content strategy, I focus on making documentation work smarter—for users and for the teams behind it.
"You're not afraid to do what hasn't been done before or to improve the current way of doing things. Your determination drives continuous improvement in documentation, processes, and team efficiency. Your work consistently delivers measurable results. I appreciate how you do all of this and toe the line with crafting delightful documentation experiences."
